ERSL Statement Regarding COVID-19

March 18, 2020

First and foremost I would like to apologize for the delay in this message to our members as I have just returned to work following some time off.  Fortunately, our District and Provincial governing organizations have been on top of communications on this topic. We will continue to closely monitor all COVID-19 developments in consultation with all public health authorities and relevant governing bodies and provide further updates as they become necessary.

Deadline Flexibility

Upcoming deadlines for the ERSL, specifically the District team entry deadline, will not be enforced strictly as tryouts, and all other soccer activities have been halted indefinitely and this has undoubtedly set back your own season-planning. We will provide further communications on this and other deadlines as things continue to develop; we will stay flexible for the next few weeks at least.  If you have any additional concerns at this time please let me know.

Office Closure

The RA Centre and House of Sport are indefinitely closed to the public, as is the ERSL office.  I will be working remotely and available by email, as I remain in self-isolation following my travels. Our office will not re-open any earlier than April 1st for this reason. Should the closure of the RA centre continue beyond this date then the ERSL office will remain closed.

Please note that if you are inclined to make payments for registration fees during this time I encourage you to utilize online payment options where possible (EFTs or e-mail transfer). Otherwise, payments made by cheque will not be processed until my return to the office.
